What We Offer

Support for Families

Families need support when their loved ones face addiction or mental health challenges. The STAR Program offers guidance, resources, and a listening ear to help families navigate difficult times. Our family support services include connection to support groups, educational workshops about addiction and mental health, coping strategies, and guidance on how to encourage recovery while maintaining healthy boundaries. We understand that when one family member struggles, the entire family is affected, and we’re here to support everyone on the journey toward healing and hope..

Community Referrals

Finding the right help shouldn’t be complicated. The STAR Program maintains an extensive network of community partnerships to connect you with the services you need. Whether it’s housing assistance, food security, transportation, healthcare, legal aid, or employment support, our team can provide referrals to trusted community resources. We personally connect with these organizations to ensure a smooth transition to their services, following up to confirm you received the help you needed. Our goal is to remove barriers and simplify access to the support services available throughout St. Martin Parish.

Connection To Treatment & Recovery Services

Recovery begins with connection to the right services. The STAR Program helps individuals access appropriate treatment options for substance use disorders, from detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient counseling and recovery support groups. We work with you to understand your specific needs, explain available options, and facilitate connections to quality care providers. Our support continues throughout the recovery journey, offering resources for maintaining sobriety, preventing relapse, and building a fulfilling life in recovery. We believe that recovery is possible for everyone, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Mental Health Resources

Mental wellness is essential for a fulfilling life. The STAR Program offers resources to support mental health, including screening services, connections to counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing support. We can help identify appropriate mental health services, from therapy and counseling to support groups and wellness programs. Our team understands the connection between mental health and overall wellbeing, and we’re committed to reducing stigma while increasing access to quality mental health care. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or other challenges, we can help you find the support you deserve.

Educational Resources

Knowledge empowers positive change. The STAR Program provides educational resources about substance use, mental health, recovery, and wellness. We offer workshops, informational materials, and presentations for individuals, families, schools, and community groups. These resources help people understand addiction as a health issue, recognize warning signs, learn prevention strategies, and discover pathways to recovery. Our educational approach is judgment-free, factual, and focused on building skills and understanding. By sharing accurate information, we aim to reduce stigma and create a more supportive community environment.
